Space Voyaging To Be Media Partner For ISSC

Space Voyaging is excited to announce its partecipation as Media Partner at the 5th edition of the Italian Space Startup Competition (ISSC)

We are delighted to announce that Space Voyaging will participate as an official Media Partner at the 5th edition of the Italian Space Startup Competition (ISSC). The event, organized by the Space Generation Advisory Group (SGAC) will take place in Rome, between March 16 and March 17, 2024.

The event has the objective of bringing together young people interested in the space sector, in particular by promoting the development of new ideas and business projects.

The competition

Participants come from any disciplinary background. The event is open to individuals aged 18 to 35, whether graduates, students, or young professionals interested in entering the aerospace sector with innovative entrepreneurial ideas. Both individuals and groups, including startups seeking funding to kickstart their ventures, are welcome to participate. Delegates with no team will be given the opportunity to enter already-formed teams.

In the two weeks leading up to the main event, registered participants will take part in two webinars. During these sessions, distinguished guests from academia and industry will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship.

During the two days of the main event, teams will work in groups, engage in discussions, and be guided and supported by experts to develop their ideas and turn them into business cases. At the end, each team will present its idea in front of a jury.

The competition will involve the participation and sponsorship of several significant corporate entities, associations, and institutions in the aerospace sector, such as:

  • The ESA’s Business Incubation Centre (BIC) programs of Turin, Brindisi and Padua.
  • The Italian Space Agency (ASI).
  • Airbus Italia.
  • ALTEN, a French multinational leader in Engineering and Technology Consulting.
  • iSpace Europe.
  • Nanoracks Space Europe.
  • Telespazio.
  • HyImpulse Technologies GmbH.

Some companies and associations offer special prizes for the best projects, such as paid/unpaid internships, business consulting, coaching with experts, tickets for IAC, and financial awards.

Space Voyaging is excited to participate in this event as we ourselves are actively involved daily in fostering interest in space through a young and passionate group from various backgrounds. We will provide updates and insights from the event on our blog and through our social media channels.
