Muon Space has successfully completed a $56.7 million Series B funding round led by Activate Capital, with participation from Acme Capital and existing investors Costanoa Ventures, Radical Ventures, and Congruent Ventures. This funding aims to accelerate the development of Muon’s Halo Platform, enhancing the company’s ability to serve its growing customer base.
Founded in 2021, Muon Space is a Space Systems Provider that designs, builds, and operates LEO satellite constellations. The company’s integrated technology stack enables customers to optimize their missions, ensuring faster deployment and superior remote sensing performance.
In 2024, the company has secured over $100 million in customer contracts for its Halo LEO satellites. A significant highlight is a landmark agreement with SNC to develop and deliver three next-generation satellites to enhance SNC’s Vindler commercial RF technology. The first block of Muon satellites is scheduled for launch in 2025.

The deal with SNC
SNC’s Vindler constellation provides RF collection and analytics functionality. The additional satellites from Muon Space will enhance the ability to collect multiple signals over a broader RF spectrum range and increase total downlink volumes, hoping to transform commercial possibilities and supporting various mission sets.
Tim Owings, Executive Vice President of SNC’s MST business area, stated, “Muon’s scalable design, instrument development, and operations support, coupled with our RF technology, diverse data sets, and analytic capabilities, will provide a new level of commercial possibilities starting in 2025.”

This collaboration aims to redefine commercial RF solutions and deliver significant value to various mission applications.
