Peplink, a leader in connectivity solutions, has officially become the first Authorized Starlink Technology Provider through a strategic agreement with SpaceX’s Starlink.
This collaboration aims to reshape the landscape of internet connectivity, especially for mobile, maritime, and remote businesses facing challenges in obtaining reliable, fast, and cost-effective internet services.
The partnership involves integrating Starlink’s Flat High-Performance terminal with Peplink’s cutting-edge SD-WAN routers, addressing three crucial aspects of internet connectivity – cost, speed, and reliability.
This combination is expected to make robust internet solutions accessible in even the most challenging physical conditions. The solutions will be made available globally through a dedicated network of Authorized Peplink & Starlink Solution Providers.
Alex Chan, CEO and founder of Peplink, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating, “Our combined solution gives any business access to affordable, fast, and reliable Internet bandwidth globally.” Peplink’s patented hardware and software solutions ensure connectivity in various scenarios, ranging from point-of-sale systems and remote offices to mobile broadcasters, emergency response units, and global sailing vessels.
Good news also for the cruise industry: Peplink solution providers deployed multi-link aggregation routers alongside multiple Starlink satellite terminals on a large cruise ship. This innovative approach significantly enhanced the reliability and speed of ship-board internet connections while simultaneously reducing operational costs compared to previous options.
“Starlink is excited to work with our Authorized Technology Providers to continue solving complex customer connectivity issues to expand access to high-speed Internet for businesses and mobile users across the globe,” said Chad Gibbs, Vice President of Starlink Business Operations.
Using Peplink routers, businesses can aggregate multiple Starlinks to meet high bandwidth requirements.
Even a single Starlink can deliver above 220 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload speeds. Under the Technology Provider agreement, Peplink will provide technological support through authorized solution providers, offering value-added networking products and services through a global network of Authorized Peplink & Starlink Solution Providers.
Peplink, known for its SD-WAN offerings, has a track record of helping tens of thousands of customers enhance internet reliability, increase bandwidth, and reduce costs. The company provides a comprehensive line of networking equipment, software solutions, and services built on patented technologies.
On the other hand, Starlink, engineered and operated by SpaceX, boasts the world’s largest and most advanced satellite constellation in low Earth orbit. Delivering high-speed, low-latency internet globally, Starlink supports a range of applications, including streaming, online gaming, and video calls.
This collaboration between Peplink and Starlink represents another leap forward in the quest for global connectivity solutions.
